Over the past three years this business has spent considerable time and energy focussed on transforming their culture across ANZ with a view to delivering a more diverse range of products whilst driving better performance across their whole business and creating a highly engaging company culture. 

ROLE

This role has recently been created within the Procurement team to support the business in building long term value within an important service the business procures across Australia & New Zealand.
  
As the Senior Procurement Specialist specialising in Logistics categories, you will be working closely with the Logistics business unit to understand the current state, developing longer term strategies and delivering on upcoming sourcing events within the vertical. This will cover a large region and an assortment of contracts including Transport(Road, Rail, Courier and local shipping), 3PL, Warehousing, Material Handling Equipment and Pallets.

Specifically, you will:
  • Run end to end sourcing events including market analysis, RFx documentation creation, evaluation, negotiation, selection and contract implementation
  • Support regional procurement activities including supplier relationship management, contract management and internal communications
  • Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency on both the internal and supply side
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the business is maximising value, not only through cost reduction, but also through new products and initiatives  
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years in a similar role within procurement with a focus on Logistics
  • Category experience specifically in Logistics categories such as Transport(Road, Rail, Courier and local shipping), 3PL, Warehousing, Material Handling Equipment and Pallets.
  • Organised and Analytical mind set
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience in SAP Ariba would be beneficial but not mandatory
