Production Draftsperson

This is a highly rewarding and challenging opportunity for an experienced and driven Production Draftsperson to join our dynamic Signature Metro Central Drafting Team in Mount Waverley.

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Accurately using AutoCAD and REVIT to prepare and complete architectural drawings within designated time frames;
• Complete checking on other draftsperson's work;
• Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with Metricon standards;
• Produce drawings to support stages of the workflow process to reflect the customers’ requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits;
• Ensure that relationships with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents and contractors are maintained and improved; and
• Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently.

The successful candidate will have:

• Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher);
• Must have a minimum 3 years Australian AutoCAD and Revit Drafting experience, preferably within the volume residential building industry;
• A STRONG understanding of the residential home building and construction process;
• Exposure and competent use of BCA, Rescode and AUTOCAD;
• The ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and
• Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.

This role requires a national police check and medical check to be undertaken.
