We have multiple opportunities for Project Accountant and Senior Project Accountant in our team based in Williamtown, New South Wales.

Despite COVID-19, we have a strong pipeline of job opportunities and we are still hiring. We're continuing to provide the Australian Defence Force with what they need to help protect the nation. About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager, working for a world class project, you will be responsible to maintain and support financial functions to ensure integrity and transparency of financial data to facilitate planning and decision making for the project.

More specifically, you will become involved in:

• Prepare journals for supporting individual projects within the program including project accruals and adjustments
• Maintain project ledger in conjunction with the project controls group, assisting with Oracle queries from the program
• Assist in preparation of projects annual budget, monthly rolling forecasts, annual integrated business plans and weekly cash flows
• Provide detailed, accurate and relevant reporting, variance analysis and commentary by the specified deadlines on forecasts, budgets and cash flows for both financial and project reporting
• Liaise with project control groups on job ledger issues and prepare and review reconciliation process between job and general ledger
• Prepare of project reports (internal and customer focused), monitor and maintain milestone schedules including incorporating changes resulting from contract change proposals
• Manage of cash flow forecasting including foreign exchange management, hedging and reporting

About you

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

• Degree and CPA/CA/CIMA qualification or equivalent or working towards it
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project finance, with a well-rounded knowledge of budgeting and forecasting with a solution oriented mindset
• Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and Australian international framework of reporting standards
• Well-developed self-management skills, ability to work under his/her own initiative to prioritise and meet deadlines, engage with stakeholders within and outside the immediate team
• Microsoft Office skills are essential and exposure to Oracle ERP is desirable
