Anovas Accounting Services is seeking a recent university graduate in accounting, or an undergraduate nearing completion, for their growing practice in Castlemaine.  A person who is motivated to continue their professional accounting studies and commence their progression towards public practice but with a solid industry grounding.  * THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION  

A person with the following attributes is desired:-

• Effective and adaptive communicator - this is non-negotiable, you must have very good written and verbal communication skills that you can adapt to the suit the audience
• Very strong desire to progress skills, knowledge and career

The role will include a range of duties, mostly around the provision of accounts department activities for client entities, and some progressive public practice activities as firm activity increases.  Tasks may include:-

• Accounts receivable and payable functions
• Bank reconciliation
• Payroll
• Stock control and asset management
• Dealing with customer enquiries
• Firm accounts and administration tasks
• Pursuing new client work
• BAS/IAS preparation
• Tax return preparation
• Financial report preparation

Training will be provided across the tasks however a sound understanding of accounting principles and practices is required.

Software used will predominantly include Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Office suite of products, Xero, and Quickbooks.

The person will be expected to be ready to progress with their CPA qualification, with their own endeavour, but under the guidance of our practice principal.  They will also need to be prepared to participate in an external mentoring program as desired by the firm on an as-needs basis.
