Revenue Assurance Officer

 

  • Based in Morayfield
  • 6 month contracts
  • 2 positions

 

Our opportunity:

The purpose of the Revenue Assurance Officer is to undertake high quality, efficient and effective revenue assurance processes to maintain accurate client records through timely and accurate account management for billing, adjustments and 3rd party invoicing in accordance with relevant Legislation, including account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies whilst providing a high level of customer service to clients and their families in line with UnitingCare organisational values.

 

You will be responsible for –

  • Maintain accurate Residential client records through timely and accurate account management for DoHS billing, adjustments, in accordance with the Aged Care legislation, including account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Process data entry required for production of client invoices and statements, maintain internal controls appropriate to ensure effective invoice creation and identify irregularities in data, investigate and bring to the attention of the Team Lead.
  • Reconcile and update DAC drawdowns as per DoHS letters.
  • Process hardship approvals from DoHS.
  • Preparing and  processing journals for residential billing and adjustments
  • Action email enquiries, answer and assign wrap codes to phone enquiries and perform administrative functions such as filing, scanning, and other organisational requirements.
  • Liaising with various  stakeholders both internal and external
  • Maintain Revenue Assurance compliance in conjunction with relevant adopted business processes, organisational policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain internal controls appropriate for separation of duties and compliance with external audit, statutory taxation and legislative obligations and areas of privacy and credit are met.
  • May be required to assist with month end processing and reporting as required

 

Your skills & experience

 

You will bring to this role -

 

  • Relevant and demonstrable work experience in a similar or comparable Residential role eg, accounts receivable.
  • High level of general ICT competency, advanced excel and word with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new operational systems and processes.
  • High level of stakeholder engagement capability with ability to articulate the issue and collaboratively find a solution.
  • Demonstrated ability to process information and problem solve to reach a defined and quality outcome with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Immaculate record keeping skills with the ability to provide a high standard of financial reporting.
  • Exemplify good communication skill and ability to communicate professionally with others both verbally and in writing
  • Display problem-solving skill even under stressful conditions and deadlines
  • Able to manage own time and that of others effectively
