Ongoing success has been supported through investment in the latest technology as the enabler of advanced manufacturing capability. Its business model includes global bidding, long term supply agreements and the further development of export markets beyond its domestic presence.

Position Overview

The contribution of this position stretches beyond attendance at meetings, reporting, monitoring, compliance and analysis of product or project risk. It will suit a ‘risk professional’ with corporate experience and understanding, one who can add value and risk insight to strategic and operational risk decision making. It is a chance to build internal credibility through effective engagement at leadership team level, to both input and implement Audit and Risk Committee direction and further develop risk management and compliance tools.

Job & Competency Specifics

• Tertiary qualifications together with corporate experience gained ideally in a manufacturing context supplying global markets.
• The ability to influence functional Leads and to input their decision making from a business risk perspective.
• As the sole internal R&C ‘subject matter expert,’ a comfort with delving into the detail but thinking ‘big picture’.
• Able to blend strategic influence and project based risk assessment with a knowledge of compliance, system administration and report generation.
• Direct reporting to the CFO, whilst building strong functional relationships with CEO and external Board Audit & Risk Committee.
• Management, maintenance and evolution of risk governance and compliance frameworks.
• Maintenance and testing of crisis management and business continuity plans.
• Leadership, co-ordination and information provision to Senior Executive Risk & Compliance meetings.
• Contribution to the placement and scope of business insurance programs.
