The Role:
As the Senior Accountant Financial Reporting and Taxation you will be leading a team of technical accounting staff and reporting into the  Senior Finance Manager of the section.  The team is very busy, providing accounting services for a group with multiple entities which are continuing to expand.

Your role will be split between the leadership and management of staff and the go to point for complex accounting issues.  Working closely with the Senior Manager you and the team will deliver the EOM/EOFY reporting, monthly management reports and bi-monthly board reports.  You will also be the lead for their complex and regular taxation requirements.

They want to hire a tax specialist who can handle the taxation affairs of the Group.  They have been handled in-house by the Senior Finance Manager (who is staying in the business and will be your manager) – you will have them to lean on for historic context and also as a technical peer. 

This is a permanent role in a fast-paced expanding business.

Your Skills and Experience:
You must be at least a Permanent Resident of Australia and be able to demonstrate strong experience from the local Australian Market.  You’ll need to have a good understanding of financial reporting and financial standards.  You’ll also need to be able to demonstrate your experience with the production of management reports and board reports.  Significant taxation experience is an essential requirement for this role.

Team management and communication skills are vital to your success within this role.
