The Professional Services and Relationships Group (PSRG) provide direct support to our Executive through independent quality reviews, the provision of advice and the preparation of responses to Australian Government reform.  We also provide vital support to our financial statement and performance auditors, including an up-to-date and comprehensive policy and guidance database; an audit methodology package including templates and guidance; and learning and development courses and information seminars.  Most importantly, we offer well thought-out technical auditing and accounting advice to our auditors when they are in the field.

The role

Duties of our Senior Analyst include:

• Contributing to the Group’s provision of support to the Executive through the delivery of expert technical accounting and audit advice;
• Contributing to the development and implementation of accounting and audit-related policies, methodologies and guidance;
• Undertaking comprehensive technical research, drafting and reviewing of briefing papers and proposals;
• Assisting with the development of technical seminars and training;
• Supporting the ANAO’s service groups’ commitment to high levels of technical proficiency by contributing to learning and development activities and knowledge sharing initiatives;
• Contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of the ANAO quality framework, including assisting in the planning and reporting of quality assurance activities;
• Exercising quality control and a high level of professional and technical expertise;
• Managing professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including ANAO senior management, peer auditing organisations, standard-setters and professional forums; and
• Maintaining and developing technical knowledge through learning and development activities.
