Senior Analyst

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join Stockland to provide accurate and timely analysis, reporting and forecasting information to help support decision making.

This is a highly engaged role where you will be interacting with a broad range of finance and non-finance Stakeholders.

A combination of technical and interpersonal skills, along with strong attention to detail are necessary to succeed in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of monthly and annual asset reports, meeting necessary requirements.
  • Support the preparation of asset performance analysis versus developed budgets/plans/forecasts,
  • identifying variances and insight into factors influencing performance.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for assets as required.
  • Contribute to asset planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and identify potential areas for process
  • improvements.
  • Educate asset managers on key financial reports and financial terms.
  • Support the process of benchmarking business performance internally; prepare internal benchmark
  • information to specific needs to allow decision making.
  • Support the preparation of reports to monitor key performance drivers.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with asset managers to solve issues, leverage
  • opportunities and influence performance.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to solve issues, leverage

  • Support the preparation of accurate management reports on behalf of Business Units/ Divisions.
  • Prepare accurate and effective communication materials and reports as required.
  • Ensure accounting treatments meet accounting standards.
  • Ensure understanding of and performance consistent with applicable internal and external compliance and
  • regulatory requirements as well as internal escalation procedures.
  • Perform general account, provisions and accruals, providing commentary and insight.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • CPA/CA qualified or similar.
  • Property Accountant/Analyst/Senior Analyst experience in a budget and forecasting role.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a commercially focused role.
  • Experience within commercial property is preferable but not essential.
  • Business partnering experience is advantageous.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills.
  • Commercial and industry awareness is vital.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills essential.
  • Team player with high attention to detail.
