Reporting directly to the General Manager; the Senior Business and Finance Officer role provides an exciting opportunity to be responsible for managing a team and coordinating the everyday finance and business activities of Greater Sydney Local Land Services in line with state processes. Duties include finance oversight, reporting and advice, customer service, human resources and administrative services to support the on ground delivery of our various projects and programs. With a keen eye for details, your day to day duties will involved delivery of balanced analysis, reports and recommendations on business and finance processes to staff and management to ensure they align with the overarching goals and priorities of our organisation. Key duties include, but are not limited to, oversight of internal governance, budget preparation, financial reporting and overall financial advice in consultation with management and staff. You will engage with all areas of the Greater Sydney Local Land Services team and provide sound advice on financial and business matters. Leading the Business & Finance Team you will have five direct reports. About you The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a demanding environment, meeting tight deadlines and managing conflicting priorities effectively. You will be a natural communicator and have the confidence to make daily decisions in order to meet the requirements of the role. A business/finance degree or equivalent on the job experience is desired but not essential. Your skills in mentoring and guiding team members while operating as an internal liaison to facilitate and coordinate the finance, business and customer service functions of the business will be highly regarded.
