The Corporate Accounting team is responsible for the accounting of Corporate Overhead departments and the Group's Financial Governance Framework. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Group Finance, this 12-months contract role will see you providing accounting support to the Corporate FP&A Team to jointly service the accounting and reporting needs of several Corporate Executives and their teams. This role also plays a pivotal part in overseeing AGL Finance's Governance Framework.

What you'll be doing:

  • Review monthly Corporate overhead costs and capital expenditure in S4HANA to identify the need for journals to ensure costs are correctly captured and classified in the ledger through effective communication with departmental and project managers
  • Advise and support the Corporate FP&A Team on monthly spend against budgets and forecasts enabling them to deliver the reporting and accounting advisory support required by their internal customers
  • Perform high quality Balance Sheet reconciliations in Blackline and lead the Balance Sheet review meetings to explain key movements
  • Work with Key stakeholders to produce the Group wide Capital Work In Progress Reporting to identify trends and escalation required
  • Review monthly S4HANA Finance access and usage across the organisation for appropriateness

About You

You are an experienced Corporate Accountant with a strong understanding of risk and controls frameworks, risk management and control governance.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • A high level of understanding of traditional accounting concepts
  • Qualified Accountant CA/CPA
  • Experience in SAP, preferably in S4HANA
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high quality outputs
  • Ability to work as part of a team to deliver shared objectives, team projects and deliverables
