We currently have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to focus on Perth Energy.
This role will be key in understanding the Perth Energy business to be better positioned in assisting with financial & analytical analysis to be able to provoke change and support decision making.
The Senior Finance Analyst is also required to development and continually improve modelling capabilities (including maintenance of long-term financial models) plus identify and lead recommended system and process changes to improve efficiencies.
Provide high-quality quantitative and qualitative analysis of results, including comparison to budget, forecast and Last year for P&L, Cash Flow and Capex
Complete monthly BPR and contribute to half/yearly reporting requirements including OFR content and Investor Pack slides
Provide financial expertise on gross margin including reporting key trends and metrics and identifying risks and opportunities
Develop robust margin models, monthly analysis and management reporting of Perth Energy across retail and wholesale
Compile and report on capex and non capex initiative costs and benefits
Own the formation of annual budgets, three year plan and quarterly forecasts
Prepare the Opex planning tool, labour model for budget and forecasting
Improvise and automate budgeting and forecasting process where possible
Assist the business the establishment of WBS codes and budget funding releases
Support the business with business casing new initiatives and pressure test underlying assumptions and benefits
Provide excellent support to key stakeholders by proactively bringing to attention areas of potentially adverse and or material impact
Provide assistance with rebuilding and redeveloping existing business models and undertake team and individual Continuous Improvement initiatives
Strong BW/SAP skills with advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling
Significant and demonstrated experience in a similar role with the ability to learn rapidly
Has a continuous improvement mindset and is always looking at ways to unlock value
Self-starter who can work autonomously and deliver high quality results
Detailed knowledge of business drivers and performance indicators
Ability to build relationships with and influence stakeholders at various work levels
Superior time management skills and ability to prioritise work
Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly communicate key messages to a range of stakeholders (finance and non-finance) without getting bogged down in detail, both verbal and written
Business, Finance or Accounting degree and CA / CPA qualified
