About the Role:

Lendlease is currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our Performance, Analytics and Origination Team (PAO).

This finance focused role supports the Origination function of Lendlease Property Australia in their due diligence and acquisition of potential development sites. The primary sectors covered include commercial, residential, retail, industrial and retirement living.

The successful candidate will work to develop, maintain and influence relationships with the Origination team and Finance Business Partners to deliver a robust commercial assessment of strategic origination opportunities.

The role reports to the General Manager Finance (PAO), however it has several key stakeholders including; the General Manager Finance - Origination, the Development Origination team including the Head of Origination and the balance of the Performance, Analytics and Origination Team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Leading the financial and commercial due diligence activities across a broad range of on and off-market investment opportunities within the Australian development business;
• Responsibility for the feasibility model to support the assessment of development opportunities. Ensure appropriate rigour and due diligence around key assumptions - including revenue, cost, time, site attributes and competitor benchmarking;
• Provide input into commercial optimisation and transaction structuring, ensuring risk adjusted return and portfolio management framework hurdles are met;
• Key contributor to Investment Committee papers with responsibility for financial content;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as benchmarking of current underwrite assumptions, pipeline reporting and investment paper content;
• Stakeholder engagement skills are key - interaction with Head of Origination, the Origination team, along with internal and external functional advisors across legal, accounting and tax.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will combine commercial expertise with a passion for property development. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced transaction driven environment across a variety of opportunities.

With relevant tertiary qualifications and post tertiary qualifications (which may include CA, CPA, CFA), you will also have gained 7 plus years of experience in Property Development or a similar complex Project environment.
