Reporting to the General Manager Finance, Business Insights - Property Australia, and located within the Property Australia regional team, your role will be integral to providing accounting advice and innovative commercial insights to inform investment decision making and performance outcomes for the Australian Property business, which encompasses Development, Retirement Living, Funds Management and Asset Management.
Your role will include advisory and operational responsibilities including review and in some cases preparation of technical accounting papers to support and optimise investment submissions. This will include coordinating and overseeing other members of the finance team in completing deliverables as required. The role will also include being a key liaison point in consultation with the Executive General Managers Finance for each Property Australia business unit, with the Group Chief Accountant and the external auditors on finalising technical accounting sign offs where required. Strong written and oral presentation skills are essential.
The role also includes responsibility to oversee the Statutory reporting requirements for the Region, ensuring compliance with Group and Regional timetables and processes.
You will collaborate across a range of stakeholders including the CFO Property Australia, Executive General Managers, Finance Business Partners, Capital Transactions, Finance Services and Group Finance as well as project teams to ensure cohesiveness of information and outputs.
Suitable candidates will have a proven background in producing forward-thinking commercial insights within technical accounting requirements which are property and Lendlease relevant. The ability to engage and drive strong working relationships with senior business stakeholders will also be critical. Your background will be supported by tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting.
