We currently have a great opportunity available in our Finance team as a Financial Analyst. The key focus of the Senior Financial Analyst is to manage the budgeting and forecasting process, business partner departmental heads/country leads, and produce/analyse regular reports, packs required for corporate reporting. The role is responsible for the development of financial models and analysing data and trends.
Responsibilities will include: - - Prepare and analyse the weekly business P&L forecast/latest estimate by country – pulling data from systems and liaising with country leads
- Update and review quarterly US reports including, 10Q/10K SEC packets, global reports required by parent co and detailed reports by suppliers
- Complete quarterly financial reports, as well as prepare quarterly business review (QBR) packs, and contribute to the preparation of draft Board presentations
- Update and maintain financial and business dashboards
- Business partnering with departmental heads & country leads – providing information, interpretation of results and support
- Analysis of P/Ls – identifying trends and overall review of performance and writing of commentaries – the “what” and the “why”
- Development of reports to support the decision-making process
- Working with the FP&A manager APAC on the budgeting and strategic planning process – working with the business & country leads, setting up files for P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
- Financial modelling on various scenarios and analysis eg commission plans
- Collaboration with the controllership team over the month end period to support the close process
Experience required:- - Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience in large ERP systems - preferably SAP
- Planning and organisation skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal/written)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Minimum Accounting degree qualification. Ideally CPA
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role within a commercial firm with relevant accounting experience per accountabilities & responsibilities above
- Experience in a Business/Financial Analyst role
Desirable experience:- - Understanding of US GAAP accounting and Sarbanes Oxley compliance
- Working in a matrix structured, US headquartered, publicly listed company
- SAP Business Objects and BPC knowledge
- MS PowerBI experience
