AGL's Group Reporting team is responsible for the Group's consolidation accounting, external financial reporting, and internal accounting advisory services. Reporting into the Group Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager, this 12-months contract role will see you focusing on the internal and external statutory reporting deliverables, and ensuring timely completion of responsible tasks.
Oversee the team's external financial reporting requirements for half year and full year end reporting and audit
Liaise with external auditors during the reporting period process
Prepare Board and Audit Committee materials on behalf of Finance executives
Monitor monthly management and statutory cash flow reporting
Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for mergers and acquisitions
Monitor and advise on several monthly financial metrics related to AGL's Australian Financial Services License
You are a highly experienced, technical accountant with exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
Big 4 Audit or similar background with relevant experience dealing with technical accounting advice, including a high level of understanding of consolidation accounting
Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA)
Experience with large ERP systems - preferably SAP
A Commercial mindset, with the ability to look beyond the numbers and understand commercial drivers and desired outcomes
Exposure to utilities or infrastructure intensive businesses (highly regarded)
