The Role An opportunity exists to join the Infinite team as a Full Time Senior Payroll Officer/Assistant Payroll Manager in our National Office in Bundall, Gold Coast. You will provide support to the Payroll Manager through supervision of payroll processing, training and supporting the Payroll team to deliver accurate and timely payrolls across all companies in the business. You will become part of the backbone of our existing Payroll team, and will work closely with them to provide the very best Payroll service across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
Provide advice and support to managers and employees in relation to all payroll matters
Work with the Payroll Manager to resolve complex matters
Drive efficiencies in payroll processing and systems, highlighting risks and proposing risk mitigation strategies as they are identified
Manage the ticketing system (Zendesk) and delegate queries and requests throughout the team as required
Assist the team to meet all reporting deadlines
Complete general administration requirements as directed to ensure Payroll records and systems are accurate and efficiently maintained.
Monitor and maintain accurate payroll records;
Keep up to date with all internal policies and legislative instruments and ensure compliance at all times
Provide a combination of scheduled and on-the-job training to staff in conjunction with the Payroll Manager to promote skill-sharing and competency-building across the team
Assist the company with systems administration, set-up, maintenance, upgrades and update related processes/protocols
Ensure timely and accurate reporting is completed when required including month-end, year-end, and ad-hoc reports
Assist with completing audits on various areas of the payroll process
Be the team's first escalation point for enquiries maintaining expected customer service levels and being able to report on the cases
Support the team where required to complete pay runs, on boarding of new employees into the HRIS & Payroll system, processing of variations & terminations, end of month reconciliations and account integration preparation
What we expect from you?
Previous experience in a Senior Payroll/Assistant Payroll Manager position is highly advantageous
Previous experience in CHRIS 21 or iCHRIS and Time Target would be highly advantageous
Exposure to the Aged Care sector would be advantageous but not essential
Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritise workload
The ability to work productively within a team environment in a varying and fast paced environment, whilst also maintaining a strong focus on attention to detail
A willingness to engage effectively with a wide range of people and offer excellent customer service to the business. Your customer service skills are highly important – you are expected to go above and beyond to your internal clients (our staff)
Ability to work as a ‘change advocate’ and promote activities and initiatives that assist Infinite to achieve its vision and mission
You must to be able to work well under pressure in compressed timelines and always keep your cool – a good sense of humour is a must!
