About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Manager to support timely and accurate lodgment of all tax compliance on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of three junior accountants in India from our office in Sydney’s CBD. You will report directly to the Director and be responsible for:

• Managing accounting and tax assignments from start to finish
• Checking and reviewing for quality control and preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds
• Preparing, reviewing, and lodging BAS and IAS in a timely manner
• Client communication when preparing, modifying, and managing queries
• Coordinating the independent audit for self-managed superannuation funds

Skills and Experience

• Good technical tax and accounting knowledge and an ability to apply it to finalise client assignments in a timely manner
• Experience with Xero, tax preparation software, Microsoft products
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritise your work, get things right.
• Clear concise verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise directly with clients.
• Minimum 5 years experience in an Australian public practice
