About the Position

 

Based in the City Assets branch, this position is responsible for undertaking review and analysis of condition assessment data for flood mitigation and drainage (FMD) assets including closed circuit television (CCTV) footage and determine the agreed condition assessment score in accordance with the corporate rating system and provide recommendations for maintenance and capital works as well as any asset data improvements.

 

Key Deliverables of the position

 

This position will undertake review and analysis of condition assessment data for FMD assets and determine the corporate condition assessment score for FMD assets with the main focus being on the following tasks:

 

  • Upload and analyse all CCTV condition assessment data and media files in the City's Stormwater WinCan database ensuring the data is complete, consistent and correct.
  • Review and analyse CCTV data and make recommendations on forward work programs whether it be maintenance or capital.
  • Assist with the development of the City's CCTV program and selection of assets to be subject to assessment based on data analysis and results completed.

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or the equivalent experience or knowledge.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience with CCTV and/or use of WINCAN software or similar.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience with identification of defects and repair of stormwater pipes.
  • Effective analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and interrogate internal and external materials and information sources to draw logical conclusions to inform decision making.
  • Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated ability to produce high quality reports, project plans, Council submissions and letters.
  • A high level of motivation and adaptability, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with management and communication with contractors.

 

About the City Assets branch

 

  • Infrastructure Asset Custodian for transport, drainage and foreshore facilities.
  • Custodians of over $9 billion worth of assets including, but not limited to approximately, 3200 kilometres of road, 2500 kilometres of drainage pipe, 100 boat ramps, 20 jetties, 3 dams, 130 lakes, 400 kilometres of constructed canals and 52 kilometres of beaches.
  • Coordinates and delivers strategic and tactical asset management planning, asset information and data management and contributed asset review and acceptance functions for the Directorate.

 

About the Transport and Infrastructure directorate

 

The Transport and Infrastructure directorate is ultimately here to deliver quality infrastructure and services that align with the broader organisation vision and purpose. The directorate consists of asset custodians, service providers and business support roles that all contribute to the overall management, delivery and maintenance of quality infrastructure and services.
