Auswild & Co is a boutique, chartered accounting firm based in the southern Sydney suburb of Kogarah. We specialise in the automotive industry and also have a broad range of Australian and international clients.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor/Manager with audit experience to join our team.

The role

You will be working closely with the Directors of the practice to provide a full range of services to our clients including audit, accounting, taxation, corporate secretarial and superannuation. You will be responsible for the planning and managing of audit engagements as well as the supervising of a support team.

Your role will include some interstate and intrastate travel as we have clients throughout the eastern seaboard, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and associated fees
• Planning audits, including risk assessment, budgeting and work-flow allocation
• Undertaking and supervising field work
• Liaising directly with clients
• Preparation of audit work paper files
• Preparation of annual financial statements (both reporting and non-reporting) as well as associated income tax returns
• Supervision and mentoring team members

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to develop into a leader and embrace future opportunities. You should be CA / CPA qualified with:

• 5+ years experience in business services or audit
• Excellent client relationship skills
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
• Superior attention to detail
• A demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• A desire to continuously develop and grow in the role
• Previous automotive industry experience (advantageous but not necessary)
• Experience in using Reckon APS and Caseware software (advantageous but not necessary)
