At Senses Australia, we focus on recruiting the right people and offering targeted training so we can seamlessly match a person with a disability with the right support worker to engage in new experiences, establish community connections, develop independent living skills and live a fulfilling life.

 

We are currently seeking active, passionate and reliable support workers for the North West and North East Metro regions.

 

North West Region (Merriwa/Alkimos/Yanchep):

• Client is based in Merriwa and is a young male client with mid functioning autism;
• Required to provide support with school pick up and swimming on Fridays 2.30pm to 4.30pm;
• Ability to assist other clients in the North West Region (Alkimos and Yanchep).

North East Region (Ballajura/Bassendean):

• Require pick up from school and access to the community for after school hours from Monday to Thursday;
• Assistance with dinner preparation and settling for the night on Saturday and Sundays fortnightly from 3.00pm to 6.00pm.

 

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience working with people with a range of disabilities;
• Possess a high level of trust, honesty and integrity and be able to maintain professional relationships;
• Have a high level of resilience and experience working with people who may present with difficult and challenging situations;
• Be computer and mobile phone savvy in order to access work emails and web based applications such as rosters, case notes and incident reports;
• Current ‘Provide First Aid’ certificate (with at least 1 year validity remaining);
• National Police Clearance (completed within the last six months);
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain);
• Current WA Working With Children's Check;
• Current Australian Driver’s License and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

 

Desirable Criteria:

• Certificate III or IV in Disability.
