We are  a boutique accounting firm in North Brisbane seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Tax Accountant with fantastic office administration  to provide professional, responsive and accurate  services to our clients. 

The ideal person will be someone with an eye for detail who will provide a exceptional support to the team, maintain a professional demeanor and enjoy working in a thriving, fast-paced environment.  

About the Role: 

This role will be heavily involved in the functions of Australian tax /accounting as well as various office  administration duties. This role will suit a mature person who likes to work autonomously, is process oriented, loves numbers and looking for a work life balance.  

About You:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• At least one year previous experience in an accounting practice 
• Experience across a range of accounting software programs and Office 365 including Suite files.
• Good knowledge of Australian Tax, Book Keeping and BAS preparation
• Experience with preparing complex Individual Tax Returns on Xero
• Prior experience with working on ATO and ASIC portal.
• Quick learner with the ability to multi-task
• Organization and time management skills
• Excellent communicator in verbal and written English
• High attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve and make quick decisions
• Supportive team player 
• Own transport
