The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Time & Attendance Team Leader to join one of our divisions on a 12-month Fixed Term contract. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals in governing the effective processing of Time and Attendance within the respective Time and Attendance systems of our Business Units.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage Time and Attendance (Payroll) day to day and weekly processing to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the Query register and develop strategies in line with the Continuous Improvement principles
  • Develop and drive Process Improvement to meet the role's Key objectives.
  • Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
  • Interpret new legislation impacting Payroll/Time and Attendance.
  • Review existing processes with the Development team and provide alternatives for improvement.
  • Escalate any system issues and support the troubleshoot process.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading & supporting multiple teams across various systems with ability manage multiple priorities & issues that arise with quick decision making & issue resolution
  • Finance background with advanced excel reporting skills (exception reporting, complex reconciliations, bonus calculations as per relevant Local Agreements)
  • Extensive knowledge on the Kronos Time and Attendance system (desirable)
  • Experience with Change Management, Process improvements, & creating process documentation
  • Ability to meet deadlines be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive payroll Audit/Compliance background
