Edmonds Judd law firm is looking for a talented Trust Accountant to join our Te Awamutu office. Our approach is to consistently deliver a high standard of service with people at the core of everything we do.

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual with a helpful can-do attitude. You will need to work well within a small team environment with the ability to work efficiently and accurately under time constraints while being highly communicative with the team and the wider firm.  

The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting (e.g. accounting data entry, reconciliation, payment processing, and receipting funds). Experience with InfinityLaw is advantageous but not necessary as full training will be provided. 

When workflows are high or absences occur in the team it may be necessary to cover reception and other general office administration duties.

Key responsibilities of the primary role include:

  • Daily reconciliation of trust account
  • Trust account compliance
  • Processing of payments and receipts
  • Processing of client invoices 
  • Monthly management of debtors
  • Use of Microsoft Word & Outlook, and InfinityLaw
  • Database management 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Be punctual, reliable, friendly & enthusiastic

  • Have excellent written and spoken English
  • Be able to relate to a wide variety of people
  • Learn quickly and be proactive
  • Be able to effectively time manage and prioritise tasks
